Human Capital Management

The concept of human capital management at the Mandom Group

Mandom Group's Mission and the HR mission

One of the MANDOM PRINCIPLES found in the Mandom Group Mission is “Human Assets.” This is the idea that all Mandom Group employees are valuable “assets” and is a principle that has been passed down unchanged since the company's founding.

It is based on this Human Assets principle that the Mandom Group's HR mission, “Happy individuals make a happy company,” was formulated. This represents our aim of “Realizing mutual growth of employees and the company,” where employees and the company are equal partners, the company actively invests in the growth of its employees, and the company grows through employees maximizing their potential, thereby realizing the Mandom Group's Mission of Dedication to Service (Oyakudachi).

For this reason, the Mandom Group has made “Realizing mutual growth of employees and the company” one of its important sustainability issues (materialities) and is promoting human asset initiatives based on the idea of “mutual growth.”

The concept of human capital management

For the Mandom Group to continually increase its corporate value through its Dedication to Service (Oyakudachi), especially amid the rapid changes in the social environment in recent years, it is important that it continues to create new value by generating greater innovation than ever before while coping appropriately with the social environment.

The Mandom Group believes that “human assets with diverse individuality and strengths” are the true “largest source” of various innovation and that by maximizing the diverse individualities and strengths of each employee and continuing to leverage these to fuse knowledge and collaborate, we can continue to create diverse new value.

For this reason, the Mandom Group has positioned the series of management initiatives aimed at putting this into practice as “human capital management,” and it is continually investing in the Mandom Group's human assets, based on the following five perspectives.

Five perspectives on human capital management

The Mandom Group has five perspectives, with the base being “01. Sharing and Practicing our Mission and HR Mission” plus “02. Diversity and Inclusion,”“03. Health & Productivity Management,” “04. Autonomous and Collaborative Workstyle,” and “05. Job-Based Talent Management.” By organically circulating initiatives 02 through 05 as a cycle, we are promoting “human capital management” and aiming to maximize the individuality and strengths of all Mandom Group employees.
