Share and Practice of Mandom Group’s Mission
Concept
The Mandom Group has set “Human Assets” as one of its Mission principles, on which its HR mission, “Happy individuals make a happy company,” is based.
Since its founding, the Group has regarded each and every employee as an asset to the Group and has long been making various investments in its employees (human assets).
For this reason, the Mandom Group's long-standing efforts regarding human assets are part of the Mandom Principle practices which are linked to the Mandom Mission, the foundation of the Mandom Group.
Based on this approach, the Mandom Group introduced the Mandom Survey in 2017 to measure the “degree to which employees understand and practice the Mandom Mission,” which serves as the foundation of its HR initiatives, and the “employee engagement” that results from that.
By addressing the various issues identified from the survey results, we aim to promote a deeper understanding and empathy among employees towards the Mandom Mission and improve employee engagement.
Mission Co-creation Workshops
The Mandom Group conducts Group-wide Mission Co-creation Workshops to facilitate understanding and empathy towards the Mission and the slogan “BE ANYTHING, BE EVERYTHING.”
At the FY 2023 Workshop in Japan, employees of similar positions and ages,
regardless of job type or department, exchanged opinions and discussed the Mandom Mission and the corporate slogan.
Through this workshop, employees gain a deeper understanding of the meaning of and connection between the Mandom Group's Mission and the corporate slogan,
and having employees consider and discuss among themselves specific actions they would like to implement so as to realize “BE ANYTHING, BE EVERYTHING” for our consumers allows each employee to gain a better grasp of and empathize with the Mandom Mission and the corporate slogan as well as promote the implementation of Mandom Principle practices.
Additionally, at overseas Group companies, the Workshops held in Japan are being rolled out horizontally, with local staff taking the lead in putting them into practice in order to promote understanding and empathy towards the Mission and the corporate slogan throughout the Mandom Group and build a foundation for each and every Group employee to practice the Mandom Principles.
